I vividly remember seeing a tv skit almost verbatim identical to this one some time in the early to mid-1970s; but the actors were Americans, the flight attendant was female, and the main POV was head-on rather than from the side. Does that ring a bell with anyone?
It’s certainly not word for word, but isn’t there a bit in Airplane or Airplane 2 in which a bored cockpit crew simulates turbulence to see how passengers will react?
Maybe. That’s not it, though, since those movies came out in the 80s.
It rings a bell with me. Not sure if the actors were American, but I definitely remember the female flight attendant and the head-on POV.
Ah, so I’m not crazy. (Or we both are.)
I thought it might be the Carol Burnett show, which I used to watch in the 70s, but websearches only turned up other airplane skits by them.
That skit was my first introduction to the game “I Spy.”
I remember the female flight attendant saying “They all jumped out” in a sad tone of voice, not as here.
