Biting the Feeds That Hand Us

RSS that makes you scream I don’t know why my RSS feeds are acting up, but until the problem’s fixed, here’s some info for subscribers:

If you go to what’s supposed to be my RSS page, namely http://praxeology.net/blog/feed, you get a blank page.

But if you go instead to http://praxeology.net/blog/wp-rss.php, then it seems to work.

The second one doesn’t seem to be working either…

The second one worked for me. I got the update about the Cato posting. Though it was the truncated version rather than the full thing.

This is probably an issue with the .htaccess file – sometimes I get pages that don’t want to load according to the “pretty” route but load if you put in the “ugly” manual address (with the .php and all).

Tangentially, you would also need a WP plug-in to display full-text in RSS readers. WP automatically adds a tag to each post truncating it at a certain point. There’s an add-in that removes that truncation for syndication feeds, called “Full Text Feeds”, I use it and it seems to work fine in Google Reader.
