    Tommy Tuberville may not be a wordsmith, but I’m inclined to attribute the poor choice of words in this indirect quotation to the inexperience or sloppiness of the AP writer. For example, the investors in the last paragraph are incorrectly labeled as “defendants.”

      I often hear people say things like “I’m an advocate for AIDS” or “I’m an advocate for homelessness.” A bold position, says I.
