Romo Lampkin’s Cat Is a Daggit!

Click here for a 5-minute preview of Galactica’s upcoming Season 4.

Unless you’re one of those benighted souls who hasn’t seen Season 3 yet (I’m talking to you, P.!),in which case you should under no circumstances click the above link.

In other news, the second trailer for the new Get Smart movie is kinda fun. I especially liked Max’s argument to Siegfried for why he can’t be from CONTROL.

    Roderick,

My girlfriend wants to start renting Battlestar Galactica from Netflix. We’ve seen neither the original nor the new series. I’ve heard the original is more for kids. What suggest you?

” I especially liked Max’s argument to Siegfried for why he can’t be from CONTROL.”
    YES! Impeccable logic.

Oh, and a note to Dain — the original isn’t “for kids” per se, although it’s pitched at a level which is accessible for the 12+ set. Not little kids: there’s war and deaths, and (in a few episodes) some weird metaphysics which kids won’t get. I’m told that the new show is genius, but the old show is not awful — fun sci-fi adventure, slightly less intellectual than Star Trek.

The original series is enjoyable but kinda cheesy. I liked it at 14 but it makes me wince now. The new one is magnificent. You don’t need to have seen the original to appreciate the new one (although there are occasional in-joke references you’ll get only if you’ve seen the original).

Ronald D. Moore looks just like us, and he has a plan…

Unfortunately it’s not shaping up to look that great. I’m sorry but nothing I’ve seen so far has convinced me that Moore’s character design or storytelling can compete with B5.

Dain, BSG is perfect to see with your girlfriend. You need to see it with another person so you have someone to turn to with raised eyebrows or yells when there is a twist in the plot.

LOL Roderick, you tempter! Just tell us what the Cylons want, already!

    B5 is next . . .
