Auburns email servers, or at least the ones I use, have been down all day; I watch our IT departments twitter feed with interest, but theres been no update in the last eight hours. So if youve sent me email at my university address today, I havent gotten it.
Yesterday I couldn’t send or receive new emails. Today I can’t even log in to see the old ones. No update in the last 19 hours.
A new update popped up. No fix yet … mail is being queued ….
Well, they say they’re queueing the mail — but an email I sent myself last night form another account just came back with “Delivery status : Failed. None of the mail servers for the destination domain have so far responded. We have been attempting delivery for 5 times. Maximum delivery tries attempted.”
That’s not very encouraging.
