It appears the identity of the final Cylon will be source of the climax of the series. If you do it that way it seems to cheapen the storyline since none of the effects of that person being a Cylon would be revealed. E.g. the final episode could announce “Adama is the final Cylon” or “Starbuck is the final Cylon” and it would be pretty much the same.
I seriously doubt that it’s Adama. However, I would bet serious money that it’s Starbuck, and in all honesty, I’m more than ok with it at this point. All of the characters have grown so much and the show is written so well that the viewers shouldn’t be so surprised when a twist they didn’t think of or rather don’t like…slaps them in the face. The story should have twists and surprises that blow the audience from their chairs, if it didn’t then what would be the point in watching it to begin with.
In the world of revived or reused Sci-Fi stories, this one is by far the best written and produced. It’s a shame the the viewers can’t accept it as it is.
I for one love it! In my (worthless) opinion, it’s the best Sci-Fi show to be aired on TV! Aside from the Twilight Zone, which should still be considered the best ever in the history of Television.
