Sarah Palin on George Washington: how hard he must have worked to keep that farm going!
Sarah Palin on Paul Revere: he warned the British that they werent going to be taking away our arms by ringing those bells and making sure as hes riding his horse through town to send those warning shots.
She’s an unending source of amusement.
Also… reading LGF?
Nah, I heard the quote on tv, and did a search to find a site that quoted it.
I think I’ve finally figured out which paper Palin reads: The Onion. The problem is, she thinks it’s real.
Seems like she wasn’t that far of the mark concerning Revere:

Well, that’s a point against Palin’s critics. I don’t think it’s a point for Palin, though.
Why?
Because her comment was clearly based on ignorance of the conventional story rather than knowledge of the real one.
Nobody could have guessed, based on the typical Palin word salad that gushed from her mouth, what specific facts from the lesser-known version of Paul Revere’s ride she was allegedly referring to. Someone had to do some historical digging to find something that they could — by really stretching — read into a barely plausible spin on her comment.
And frankly, she’s demonstrated time and again that she doesn’t even know the BETTER-known, schoolbook version of anything that happened in history.
Quite simply, the part of Sarah Palin’s brain that handles intellectual curiosity or empathy for people who are different from her is as dormant or dead as that of Dumb W. Ass. I’m not saying she lacks intelligence. But whatever intelligence she possesses is channeled either into venality or executing vengeance on those she feels have slighted her.
I’ve never noticed whether she has pebbly skin on the backs of her hands, but since it’s fairly closely associated with hystrionic personality disorder I wouldn’t be at all surprised if she has. She’s like a cross between Flem Snopes and Mommie Dearest.
Nope. That doesn’t vindicate her. She clearly does not know the story. Read what she said.
Well, I’m sure GW worked the slaves hard to keep the farm going.
Ah, that tricky transitive/intransitive distinction.
