It’s highly questionable whether one of the runways at this airport should be built so close to traffic. Landings don’t always go as planned. Sometimes a runway will be under or overshot and the plane must circle around and make another try, especially in bad weather. This is asking for trouble.
Here’s a sample of San Diego — though one afternoon wandering around in the hills above Lindbergh Field I once found a spot there where they come even closer than the spot where this video was shot. It was a little house, at the highest point in the area, where planes were zooming over, incredibly close, every two minutes. Now that would be good place to shoot a video. Admittedly still not in Toncontin’s league, though.
So the street light is actually for an aircraft crossing. Frightening.
I wonder what happens when the plane gets the red light.
It stops, of course. The laws of Honduras take precedence over the laws of physics.

Although San Diego is less extreme, I’ve certainly had that thought there. (Luckily, though, there is never bad weather in San Diego!)

The biker is a bad ass.
“No low flying plane is gonna stop me now. Oh no. I got to keep on moving!”
