Great article Professor Long, I’ll be using these arguments on my liberal friends. I’m a little hesitant to use the
‘left’ prefix tho, because of Steiner, etc. (it’s confusing).

P.S.: is it “lays bear” or “lays bare”?

Excellent work, Roderick. Really brush fire material.

    P.S. Typo on page 1: “Nozick 1874″.

Excellent artilce on class theory and justice, Roderick, well done! Actually, I have penned an article recently on anarcho-capitalism and traditional anarchism, to be serialised in Joe Peacott’s Anchorage Anarchy, and in this article I also raise Nozick’s historical theory of justice with regards to socialist complaints about the injustice of capitalism. I observe that complaints that capitalism is unjust because it creates inequalities, or because it doesn’t distribute goods “from each according to ability, to each according to need” are based on end-state or patterned theories of justice, and are thus fundamentally at odds with the complaint that capitalism is unjust because distributions of wealth under it arise via exploitation, since this complaint is based on an historical theory of justice.
