To those following (or, in some cases, literally invested in) my ongoing financial saga: I met with the lawyer today, and he gave me a phonebook-sized (well, Auburn-phonebook-sized, not Manhattan-phonebook-sized) stack of financial info forms to fill out, plus he needs copies of my old tax returns etc., so thats my homework for tonight.
In other news, Ive paid my rent for the month thanks to the generosity of my readers. More developments as they unfold ….
So in total what documents do you recommend we keep on file?
I hope he had some encouraging things to say.
It’s the thieving mutualist, Kevin Carson! I’ve read lots of Mises Institute articles since our last meeting, and apparently the “dark satanic mills” were actually cool, the misery of industrial England was due to population explosion not capitalism (as nearby Ireland also had population explosion but not capitalism and starved en masse), and also General Motors is subject to “the whims of the consumers”. What I want to know is: When will GM obey my whims and sell me a car I actually want!?
You meant to say “lying, thieving mutualist.”
Indeed, but I couldn’t resist saving time by just typing one pejorative.
I can picture a future world with little mutualist enclaves that anarcho-capitalists visit from time to time on vacation as tourist attractions, sort of like how I used to drive visitors, when I lived in Philly, out to Lancaster to see the Amish. But I would love to see the competition. I can picture a capitalist on a podium debating a mutualist, shouting at the top of his lungs, while banging his shoe on the table, “WE WILL BURY YOU!! WE WILL BURY YOU!!,” as a murmer of dismay ripples across the libertarian hemp-shirt wearing organic pot farmers in the audience.
Those silly lawn-hating mutualists, lol
