I saw that and I believe it. In terms of personal experience, I do my best writing, coding and general problem-solving when amped up on large amounts of coffee, listening to hardcore music and chain-smoking (despite trying to quit — and yes, it pisses me off that I perform best at my chosen activities while slowly ruining my health, which just kind of feeds the vicious circle, I suppose).

Love the Mystery Men reference, BTW.

Wow, then I must be brilliant, because I’ve been pretty pissed lately. Maybe I out to stop reading the stuff on Strike theRoot…

    😉

This would fit with my experience as well- back when I wrote editorials for my college paper, my best work seemed to come when I was mad about something. Not just because it gave inspiration, but because it seemed to clear all the distractions out of my mind.

And I love that picture. Very underrated movie.
