Doctor Who episode 6, “The Almost People,” aired in Britain today, but won’t air till next weekend in the u.s. (Memorial Day weekend is what’s putting things out of synch.) Of course there arrrgh other means of seeing it ….
But if you haven’t seen “The Almost People,” do not watch the following prequel and trailer for episode 7, “A Good Man Goes to War.”

So the question is: will the Doctor killed in the first episode of this series be a Flesh doctor?
Maybe; but the fact that in this episode Amy speculated as to precisely that possibility makes me think it’s misdirection.
Another question: at what point was Amy switched? One would think it was when she was abducted by the Silence back in “Day of the Moon,” but she first saw Eyepatch Lady before that. Also, before the abduction she tells the Doctor that she’d been wrong about being pregnant, and I would assume that the switch happens between when she thought she was pregnant (because she was getting info from her real body) and when she thought she wasn’t (because she was now getting info from the Flesh body). So that would mean that the switch happens between “Impossible Astronaut” and “Day of the Moon.”
(Which in turn means, I guess, that the signal between real Amy and Flesh Amy can get through dwarfstar matter.)
Though my conclusion that the switch happened between episodes bugs me. My sense of Moffat’s m.o. is that he’d want us to have seen the moment without realising it’s what we were seeing….

I agree, the moment of Amy’s switch is a bit troubling. Having it happen between episodes would be lame.
I’m also a bit skeptical about the Silence/Flesh connection (were there any mentions of Silence time travel?), but then there were Cybermen in the trailer you posted, so the eyepatch lady might just be hosting a badguy soiree.
Incidentally, I enjoyed the Tom Baker reference in this last episode; I know this may be heretical (I can say it, I guess, since I wasn’t alive then) but I think he and the jelly babies and the scarf are some of the only good bits to come out of the years between the very first 1963 episode and “The Empty Child.” To me the show/concept really hits its stride when Moffat comes on board.
The Silence say that Amy will “bring the Silence.” Madame iPatch says that Amy’s child is a “weapon.” I assume these predictions are about the same thing?
Good guess. Now I need to go back and watch the first two episodes again…
I think The Master will be involved somehow. Also, I figure Amy was taken during “The Impossible Astronaut”.
