People who are ‘of’ Auburn, and not just ‘in’ it, generally seemed to have a dim view of his real-estate mogul activities. But that may not be the point here.
But Auburn has not scrapped econ department.
Sorry, left out “its.”
He forced AU to scrap its economics Ph.D. program. That’s one sin out of dozens, though.
