The Fall 2011 meeting of the Alabama Philosophical Society will be September 23-24 in Pensacola, Florida. (Why Florida? See last years hint.)
My Auburn colleague Mike Watkins (author of the best book ever on the metaphysics of colour see my remarks here) will be the keynote speaker.
Papers can be submitted either to the regular program or to the undergraduate essay contest. Submission deadline: 7/22; hotel reservation deadline: 8/30. More details on the website.
Admit it, you guys just like the beach. But seriously, can you really get decent lodging + meals for $75/day in Alabama? Sounds like a vacation paradise.
Actually last time I spent the whole day at the conference and never got as far as the beach. 🙁
That $75 is the essay prize. And the conference isn’t in Alabama. 🙂
Great book by Watkins. I guess it doesn’t get as much traffic as a Steven King book on Amazon but, seeing as how there are no current reviews on it, posting your review of it on Amazon would be nice. Could it be the deciding factor for someone debating the purchase of a rather expensive book?
Just a thought. It looked lonely all reviewless.
