A two-for-one Molinari/C4SS/ALL punch in Counterpunch today!
Kevin Carson explains why free-marketers should be Occupiers.
Sheldon Richman explains why Occupiers should be free-marketers.
In other news, Ross Kenyons Occupational activities continue to make the local paper and frighten Republicans.
Our quest for world domination continues to continue ….
I had no idea Howard Dean had moved to Alabama.
He’s a daggum outside agitator!
We need to swing an Al Jazeera interview.
you and your like minded “occupiers” (aka spoiled entitlement-minded kids) need to shut up, go home, eat, and MAYBE take a shower.
I say screw you. You cant begin to complain until you have even voted, as a caller to a local show from the “movement” got caught on yesterday … Playtime is over kids, and this republican is hardly scared of you … Only concerned about you trying to tear us apart as a union.
You must be new here.
What I want does not come on a ballot. In any case, I don’t know why you think that people should have to wait until November of every other year to be able to speak about the things that they care about.
Well, OK. You’re right about that. So perish all compromises with tyranny. But keep in mind that nobody here speaks for all the Occupiers. Occupy is a conversation and a process for addressing things at a community level. It’s not a political party with a platform or talking-points.
People who vote are mostly part of the problem, not part of the solution — as should be obvious from a glance at the results.
“Occupiers should be free-marketers.” ?
Hah-hah!
And Obama ben Bush should be a Tolstoyan.
Dreaming is not harmful but it is not how our world works.
They are not free-marketers and never will, they are spoiled brats, greedy plebeians demanding free bread and circuses, potential
Red Guard and Black Shirts.
Sigh… you left-libertarians are sooo naive. Do you understand that if these swine win you will be first whom they hang?
Who do you mean by “they”? I mean, a fair number of Occupiers already are free-marketers. And the ones who aren’t have the same fear of you that you have of them.
Don’t you just love the kneejerk dismissal of all Occupiers and generalizations of them as all spoiled brats?
Some people put their hands over their ears and have made their minds up who to listen to…the rest of us realize that reality is complicated, and change won’t come unless we check our premises and question the assumptions we’ve been given.
The beauty of it is, they don’t have to put any thought into it at all because all their talking points were thought up forty years ago by the “Silent Majority” back in the hardhats vs. hippies days. The only thing I haven’t heard regurgitated is “join the Army,” presumably because these people are nominal libertarians.
BTW, when I hear the term “swine” I’m a lot more likely to think of someone in a suit sitting in a corner office on one of the top floors of a corporate office building than of protestors.
Charles replies to Dean.
