Latest gift from government (CHT Wendy McElroy):
Under new TSA rules, if your drivers license or passport has your full middle name on it but your airline ticket doesnt, you may not be allowed to fly.
Worse yet (because more trouble to fix), mismatches between your ID and your credit card may become a problem too.
There are also problems with a popular cancer drug causing people to loose their fingerprints. Apparently the government has said that it will be satisfied with a letter from the patient’s oncologist. Though several travelers have been delayed for up to 4 hours by TSA.
Now we know why you’re so anal about people using the “T.”
“TSA” = “Tears Stuff Apart,” “Totally Screws America,” “Terrorizes Safety-Conscious Americans,” “Threatens Service-Oriented Airlines” . . .
Add “Terrorizes Spanish-speaking Americans” – my Puerto Rican fiancee has already long been getting all sorts of flak over the past few years about how inconsistent online forms are in allowing him to write out both of his surnames, and I don’t see it getting any better any time soon…
Because only a terrorist would have a name more complicated than John Smith.
