The Revolution Will Be Televised

I wonder whether this proposed tv series is based on libertarian Poul Anderson’s novels Orbit Unlimited and New America. It sounds very similar. (Conical hat tip to AICN – but see their talkback section for some obnoxious statist commentary.)
