According to this guy who was on The Colbert Report tonight, straight men and gay women are more likely to have
ring fingers longer than index fingers, while gay men and straight women are more likely to have index fingers longer than ring fingers. Result: I have gay hands!
Since, according to so many religious conservatives (see, e.g., here and here), we’re supposed to let our bodily parts define our moral obligations, does this mean I’m now morally obligated to become gay?
I’m really confused, because the index and ring fingers on my right hand are exactly the same length, which I assume would make me (it?) straight or maybe bi. But my left hand is really gay. I’m thinking about going to the doctor about this.

Until I saw that, I’d had no idea a ring finger COULD be shorter than a pointer. I have extremely lesbian hands, and am one. My youngeer sister and I are the only ones in my family with hands like that, but her finger lengths change when she moves her hands so we decided they were bi hands. Ha.
Obviously, you should seek digit reassignment surgery immediately. I don’t see why this is so hard …
