I hope you don’t mind me using your comments section for shameless self-promotion, but since this is about recent Jeffrey Tucker videos, here’s an interview with him that I was a part of a few weeks ago:

Readers of this blog will probably be interested in 13:11, where we talk about IP, as well as 38:22 in, where we talk briefly about free market anti-capitalism, and most importantly, 46:24, where we spend a lot of time talking about Batman.

I like how Jeff Tucker is surprised and almost seems a bit disappointed to hear Gary Chartier say that his detour through center-left statism was a waste of time.

Kudos to Gary for being able to say that. Wish I could. If I hadn’t shaken out the dumbass my conservative upbringing had left me with, I can’t imagine what I’d be. (On the other hand, it was a much longer detour than I’d have liked.)

I think I went through a similar phase, but it was so brief I’m not sure what to make of it, looking back. I don’t think of it as a waste of time, though. Probably because it was such a short time and I was still a teenager. I did need to shake out a lot of conservative dumbassery, though. I’d blame my parents, but as a dumb (very dumb) kid, I was farther to the right than they were.

A technical request feature. Since some of us don’t use flash, could you use an embed that allowsthe html5 player, or provide direct links to youtube vids next to the embedded player?

    http://apiblog.youtube.com/2010/07/new-way-to-embed-youtube-videos.html

You know since flash is basicly just one big security hole, with an optional feature of playing videos.
