Are you sick of those t-shirts that say If you love freedom thank a veteran?
Check out the Molinari Institutes newest t-shirt, which reads If you love freedom thank an anarchist, thus honouring both those anarchists whove been in the forefront of struggles for freedom in the past (e.g. the movements against slavery, against censorship, against conscription, for womens rights, for sexual freedom, etc.) and those anarchists who are working even now to extend our freedom still further.
Im trying to create a button as well, but so far the CafePress software is defeating me (though Im doing exactly what I did to create our previous button); watch this space.
By the way, some of the aforementioned pro-militarism t-shirts read “If you love your freedom thank a veteran.” I deliberately left “your” out of my anarchist version, for two reasons. First, “your freedom” seems to imply freedom you already have, whereas I wanted to include not only past successful struggles for aspects of freedom we now enjoy, but also ongoing struggles for more. Second, we can perfectly sensibly be grateful for efforts on behalf of other people’s freedom and not just our own.
Beautiful! I want a bumper sticker.
I love the slogan, but can we get it in a somewhat more polished font?
