A Puzzlement

Chocolate + orange is a popular candy flavour. So why isn’t it more popular as an ice cream flavour?

    Baskin-Robbins used to have a delicious mandarin-chocolate concoction if I remember correctly…

This is a pressing philosophical issue ( :

My theory is that sometime last week, the real Roderick was replaced by a robotic copy which is trying, and failing, to mimic his philosophical erudition.

Assuming that there is a robotic copy, I still give him the credit he deserves for putting forth the effort, regardless of any suspected failure.

As for orange-chocolate ice cream, I keep imagining how sherbert and chocolate ice cream would go together and think that this combination could fall into the category of “too much.” That is according to my taste, anyway.

Orange Chocolate Chip is a common flavour of ice cream in New Zealand.

And, yes, ice cream flavours ought to be capitalised. ;)

Probably for the same reason that you don’t generally see orange ice cream without the chocolate — the acid of orange juice can do unpleasant things to the milk. You’d need to use the more laborious method of infusing the oils from the orange zest into the ice cream mixture.

Not that that wouldn’t be delicious with chocolate.

      Nice! In England also.
