Some have speculated that something fairly drastic (e.g., the death of a major character) was going to happen at the season midpoint. But if stories from the first and second halves of the season can be so easily switched for each other, that seems to imply otherwise.
We don’t know how easy the switch was. Perhaps that was to only episode in the first half that didn’t have a major character in it. Something that happens occasionally. The perfect move to dispel rumors and keep the surprise.
I have to credit you with turning me on to Dr. Who. I’ve been watching it on my Netflix stream for about a month now and love it (Billie Piper might have a lot to do with that, though). I never watched it as a child, and can’t figure out why. Though I don’t remember it being on any stations here either.
