I enjoyed the movie quite a bit. Not only was it a fairly good adaptation of the character & origin, but I think that libertarians, in particular, will be interested in the moral/political issues that Tony Stark has to deal with.
Have you seen it yet? Since you’re a fan/reader/collector(?), I’m curious to know your take on the film & RDjr’s performance in particular (in addition to your excellent political/philosophical commentary).
Oh, and the movie version of Stark/IM is a cross between old school/current Marvel universe/Ultimate universe. I don’t follow the current version primarily due to the character being written as a bit fascist. Maybe that’s because he has the triangular chestplate/unibeam, rather than the original (& movie) circular one! Or he could just be a Skrull (I hope). 🙂
Don’t forget to check out the (very) brief scene after the ending credits!
