Roderick, you should subscribe to the BG podcast. The producers talk about the various episodes–the latest goes into the Tigh-Ellen death scene. Coooool

Man, Tigh isn’t even half the man (Narn?) that G’Kar was on Babylon 5. Tigh has to execute his wife for the good of the revolution or whatever, and all he comes up with is some wimpy poison. G’Kar would have strangled her or organized a firing squad.

Remember that scene in Revenge of the Nerds
when the jock (“Ogre”) dangles the guy from the
balcony by his ankles, then starts chanting, “nerds,
nerds, nerds,” then drops his ass, like two stories
    down?

That’s what I’m thinking right now.

Well, Anonymous2, you should go out and
rent it tonight. Along with Feast. And Saw II.
I’m assuming you’re not doing much else.

Some nerdly dissent on the Tigh – Ellen death scene.

Justice must not only be done but must be seen to be done. Colonel Tigh’s poisoning of his allegedly treasonous wife (she was a ‘traitor’ to the human insurgency, but ‘loyal’ to Tigh) doesn’t ring true. I would imagine any insurgency would have executed Ellen and have made their judgement, perhaps by dumping her body in a public place, known to the general population, to discourage future treason. Of course that Tigh’s punishment of his wife should happen so close to ‘exodus’ day is a little fishy too. Why not have her tried on Gallactica after liberation? They were all apparently up there safe and sound later in the same episode.

Tsk tsk. Believability must be sacrificed on the altar of plot.
