From the Golfo to Faxaflói
The conference schedule for the upcoming Alabama Philosophical Society (Oct. 2-3) is now online.
This’ll be the first year I haven’t been to the APS since I came to Auburn in 1998. But this coming weekend I’ll be in Reykjavík, Iceland (first time!), to do my left-libertarian lambada at a European Students for Liberty Regional Conference there.

So tonight’s Doctor Who was Return of the Jedi (with Davros playing both Palpatine and Vader) crossed with The Killing Joke.
It’s also the second time we’ve seen Clara in a, um, y’know.
Plus there was yet another callback to Curse of Fatal Death.
Addendum:
Oh, and Moffat gets a chance to justify a much-criticised line from the series 5 finale.
