Battlestar West

Wild, Wild West was a terrific series, and one of the first science-fiction westerns. (I’ve long suspected that the show’s “James T. West” played a role in transforming Star Trek’s James R. Kirk into James T. Kirk.) Then it spawned two awful tv-movies, and finally a still more awful theatrical movie. At this point, is there anyone who could possibly revive it and restore its tarnished glory?

Yes.

Wow! Thanks for making my early morning. That’s almost too good to be true.

This is exciting. I liked the old WWW show. I like a good mix of scifi and western. The Adv. of Brisco County Jr. was another show that, I thought, mixed the two well.

I have no faith on Ron Moore anymore. Yes: I adored his run on DS9, my favorite Star Trek series. Yes: I adored BSG even more until the series finale. But those last minutes of BSG were enough to make me think Ron Moore’s career has jumped the shark. My derision is strong enough for me to say: I also love “Caprica,” but I don’t give Moore any credit for anything good in it.

I say bring back “Brisco County Jr.” with Bruce Campbell!
