Polarities
Shawn Wilbur continues to post amazing stuff, including a couple of 1869 pieces from feminist Jenny dHericourt: Morality and the Sexes and Womans Rights in France.
Also posted: Shawns translation of a 1721 work with the irresistible title An Account of a Voyage from the Arctic to the Antarctic Pole by Way of the Center of the Earth. (Bear in mind that this was before Holbergs Niels Klims Journey Underground, Casanovas Icosaméron, and Symmes Symzonia; before Poes MS. Found in a Bottle, Descent into the Maelstrom, and Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym; before Vernes Journey to the Center of the Earth and Burroughs Pellucidar series.)

Dark and Wintry
Upcoming films in the Avengers universe include Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier (so yes, that plotline is happening), Ant-man, and Guardians of the Galaxy. I assume the latter will tie in with the mid-credits scene in The Avengers.
The Sand Must Flow!
