I Feel Validated!

If you’re reading this via the LeftLibertarian.org aggregator, then you’ve missed four of my posts because my RSS feed wasn’t validated. Now it is and so they’re back, but buried below; there’s one on the alleged genetic basis of racial differences, one on Benjamin Tucker and Francis Tandy, and a couple on Randian views of intellectual property.

If you’re just reading my blog the regular way, ignore the above.

    Roderick,

I know this isn’t about your post, but your blog seems the best way to get in contact with you.

Henry over at Crooked Timber has some comments about the relationship between the Austrian school and James C. Scott’s Seeing Like a State, an important quasi-anarchist lefty work that I’m sure you’re familiar with. Some of what he says is confused. I thought it would be cool if you blogged on this, since it’s right at the intersection of lefty cultural/institutional issues and Austrian critiques of centralism.

    Here it is.

Since e-mailing him doesn’t work, I guess this is how you get in contact with Dr. Long. Other than addressing my e-mails and perhaps uploading that stuff I requested, I wish he would blog on the recent LvMI blog post regarding the Labor Theory of Property: http://blog.mises.org/archives/007344.asp

Whoo whee. That’s so much love I had to stop reading. Major lesson: libertarians are “bigots who hate poor people.” Why? Because non-bigots who care about the poor KNOW that without all the wonderful laws we have here in the U.S., people in poverty would all be totally strung out on drugs, drinking themselves to death, and shooting each other (no stereotypes there or anything). So you see, libertarians are horrible people because we want poor Americans to have freedoms they just can’t handle. There’s an irony there, if only I could figure out what it was….
