(But who is Emily Arthur Hiller?)

Poor Mrs. Bard. All she wanted to do was have a little break with her beautiful daughter and her newly acquainted, potential son in law. But no. Charlie Buzz Killington had to ruin the whole affair, didn’t he?

Though, what a wonderfully written scene! To my chagrin, Charlie’s little unabashed soliloquy (it was as if both Mrs. Bard and her daughter were not there) hit very close to how I feel about Memorial Day.

All very depressing. Have to see the film now though!
