Hi Roderick,
This post isn’t really related to the C4SS budget (though I wish them the best), but I was wondering if you have any thoughts on Todd May’s work of combining post-structuralist and anarchist thought. I think there is some value to “post-anarchism” but I think May misconstrues much of the classical anarchists’ work (e.g. on human nature and individual autonomy). What do you think?
Brian
I haven’t read much Todd May. Where would you recommend I start?
Todd May’s article, “Is Post-Structuralist Political Theory Anarchist?” gives a brief overview of his combination of anarchist and post-structuralist theory (the article is in New Perspectives on Anarchism), and he has a full-length book on the subject called The Political Philosophy of Poststructuralist Anarchism.
The target has been met! Thanks to everyone who donated (and to one in particular ….).
