8k is a lot of money to raise- what exactly happens if the total isn’t met? I’d love to support the c4ss more, but giving more than, say, $10 is out of the question for me.

The state continues to exist! :-O

Seriously: the most likely result is a cutback in the number of articles we produce. The size of the cutback depends on the size of the shortfall.

I know the feeling — as I’m still paying $650 a month to the Alabama tax people, which has put a bit of a dent in my discretionary spending. But C4SS (and the Molinari Institute) get quite a few regular contributions of $5, 10, or $20. Any amount helps; and lots of $10 contributions can add up to quite a lot.
