I want to mention what some may consider a spoiler for Sherlock, so I’m putting it in the comments section.

According to this story about Steven Moffat’s plans for season 2 of Sherlock:
Um, that’s not really being “tight-lipped.” To anyone who knows even a little bit about Sherlock Holmes those three words convey a hell of a lot of information.
Incidentally, I’ve suspected for a while that we’d turn out to have already seen the beginning of the Reichenbach scene in the finale of season 1, and that season 2 would begin not with the immediate resolution of the cliffhanger but some time later, with Watson on his own and Holmes missing-presumed-dead, and we’d learn the cliffhanger’s resolution only later on through a flashback. We’ll see if I’m right come August, when the new Sherlock season gets sandwiched in between the first and second halves of the new Doctor Who season.
