Because Ron Paul is always right?
I think Rand Paul is trying the Ron Paul 90s and to a lesser extent 07-08 strategy of pandering to the knuckle draggers. I am not a huge Ron Paul fan, but he deserves a lot of credit for this, he didn’t just say “they have a right to build there whether we like it or not” he went as far as to criticize the anti-Mosqueteers. Rand has openly declared that he’s not a libertarian, so ugliness shouldn’t shock us.
Because note everyone can be the most ideologically pure libertarian in the history of man kind, like you.
Ron Paul isn’t the re-encarnation of Rothbard, but at least he wants to reduce the power of the State, and nowadays, that’s revolutionary.
