Funny how the standards applied to you or I never apply to governments, large businesses, or their official representatives. I think there’s a word for that, you know a kind of doublet standard or doubled standard… what could it be?
Roderick, don’t be so ideological! Your remarks rely on a certain theory of property rights, for which you give no argument. Maybe Donnelly’s body is the cop’s rightful property.
Besides, if unconditionally obeying anyone with a badge and a gun is a requirement of rationality, then the cop had every right to arrest Donnelly. I bet you can’t refute this brilliant argument!
