She looks bored and slightly annoyed.
(Though that’s probably the actress rather than the character; judging from the hand at the right side of the photo, I think this is a preparation to shoot, not a still from the film.)
You’d think that “A Princess of Mars” would be near impossible to screw up in this day and age – great ugly monsters, TONS of action AND cliffhanger chapters, plus it isn’t so long that you’d have to cut much out.
Perfectly suited to a movie??? But that’s Hollywood for you….never content to just take perfection and transfer it to the big screen. They have to muck around and put their OWN STAMP on it ! Yuck.
I don’t plan to ruin my imagination by watching these travesties, I’ll re-read the books instead. But thats me, I’m a purist in that respect.
Bamboo is surprisingly strong, but the lack of crossbraces likely dooms the cage to uselessness, not to mention the fact that she could likely squeeze through the absurd gaps between the bars. But a naturalistic cage wouldn’t offer such a view. It is quite attractive, and makes me wonder how much the materials for a bamboo cage would cost, and where I would store it. Want. But how would they lock it?
Maybe they could make it easy to disassemble, just keep it away from pandas and you’ll be okay.
Actually, the cage could be adequately braced by having its corners pulled out by stays (out of shot). The problem that’s visible is having the bamboo bars roped together and fastened with knots that could be untied or severed.
