    If he kept the format the same for both it would’ve been more readily apparent:

    No matter what side of an argument you’re on, you always find some people on your side that you wish were on the other side.

    Format changes might help improve scansion though…

    I wonder if the difference has something to do with how one perceives oneself. Someone from a persecuted minority might more readily assume that he is the one who is out of place.
