I spent some time on Richard Dawkins's website and stumbled upon a bit of Spencer defamation. Obviously I think Dawkins understands his field better than Krugman understands economics, but it was disturbing to see a respected intellectual and expert on Charles Darwin get something so wrong either due to laziness or taking for granted the idea of Spencer as "social Darwinist."
