In Neil Gaiman’s Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader? (part 1 out this week), when asked “Are you Death?” a shadowy female figure responds “I don’t think Death is a person.”
(For those who don’t get the irony: one of Gaiman’s most popular characters is a female personification of Death.)

But my favourite exchange in the comic was this one:
HARLEY: “I can’t believe he’s dead.”
JOKER: “I can’t believe he didn’t die the first time he dressed up as a giant bat and jumped off the roof.”
